Although the home page describes this site as Danda's arts forum, we would like to note that this is primarily a result of one man's vision.......Peter Street. And that this vision was embraced and supported by Danda and its members. - [ you can read more about this on pages; Vision UnBoxed & Peter Street's article "Are we the chosen few?"]
General Overview;
- Dandarts has been set up to provide not just a platform to promote and showcase artists work, but more of a community village to provide neuro different artists a place where they can access help, advice and contact other like minded people.
- It is open to all artists with a Specific learning difference or differences.
- You do not have to be a recognised artist in your field / art - go on have a go - be brave and post something here today! [please see contact us page for more details of how to do this]
- Work submitted here does NOT have to be just about disability.
- We will endeavour to accomodate any artform within the boundaries of technology currently accesible to us. Thus this site will hopefully grow and re-shape with every new category we add.
- Artists CAN remain anonymous if they wish - [please see submission section or contact us page]
Important Notices;
- Copyright: there will be a section on this in the legal & advice pages, but it is important to note that in general ALL work submitted here is at the owner's risk if not protected by copyright personnally obtained.
- Adult Content; DandArts is a subsidiary site of DANDA - Developmental ADULT Neuro Diversity Association, and it is worth noting that although we do not wish to exclude any section of the ND community that as this charity supports adults with SpLd's, thus this site will have some work posted here that deals with adult themes.
Sumission of work & Profile;
- This will be dealt with in more detail on our conatct us page.
- Anonymity; Here at Dandarts we respect the artists right to remain anonymus and understand how fellow people with SpLD's can suffer from low self esteem and / or feel nervous about contact from the outside world. We hope all people with SpLD's will feel comfortable enough to share their gift / artform with us and you.
