Diagnosed with dyspraxia and Asperger Syndrome at age 40; I took up painting with acrylics six years ago. I paint mostly landscapes and abstract images and has a particular knack for colour mixing in the style of the Fauves movement in early 20th century France.
My scenes are from areas such as Suffolk, where I walk frequently, near to my home in Colchester, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
I have also attempted the occasional self-portrait .
Not bad for somebody who scored 34 in Art in my second year at secondary school and whose report card stated that I "lacked confidence" in the subject!
